Recycled Style

We all know about the need to Re-use, Renew and Recycle our waste products, unused items and unwanted objects!

The population is growing and we live in a world of packaging and the desire to have the latest items, so waste and “Old wares” are a growing issue for us all to deal with These days there are so many people creating new from old, in such a wide variety of creative and innovative ways, that we don’t have to look far to get inspiration to turn out own unwanted items into useful and stylish objects!

I am not alone in being a lover of council pick up and enjoy greatly seeing new uses for someone else’s “rubbish”! I have always taken note of what family and friends are getting rid of, and see it as a great opportunity to create something useful for myself, using a little know-how and thought and not much money!

This has now become a decorating style in its own right, with high end designer stores selling brand new items which have a recycled/second hand look, but still charging top dollar! I find this so interesting and exciting because it provides a wealth of ideas, from furnishings to accessories and even shop fittings, that can be created by you, making as much a statement about your own creativity as it is for stopping waste!

Take the time to look around in that trendy cafe, or look more closely at that designer pad of the celebrity, and you will see so many ideas which you can work from, to make your own recycling statement and reused objects to be admired!
