Pictures above the bed? Too easy. And if renting, use smaller/lighter pictures which can be hung with removable adhesive hooks and no damage to the wall. If choosing a few pictures I would arrange them in a symmetrical or ordered way so to give a calm energy like I did for the room below.
A feature wall? Yes, a darker warm colour that complements the floor covering will make your bed head and covers stand out. Two coats of paint and the job is quite easily done. Wallpaper?
