Creative In The Bedroom

How to add WOW to your bed head??

The options are endless of course based on taste, budget, rental or owning…

Pictures above the bed? Too easy. And if renting, use smaller/lighter pictures which can be hung with removable adhesive hooks and no damage to the wall. If choosing a few pictures I would arrange them in a symmetrical or ordered way so to give a calm energy like I did for the room below.

A feature wall? Yes, a darker warm colour that complements the floor covering will make your bed head and covers stand out. Two coats of paint and the job is quite easily done. Wallpaper? So many beautiful ones are back on the market, new and old like this timeless Florence Broadhurst design at Signature Prints.

But if originality is something you are aiming for, then have a look at the pictures below for inspiration. This sculptural piece looks great. Note how well the colour palette of wall and cushions complements the worn wood. Perfect. This image from Bees Knees Bungalow.

Do you collect? An uneavenly sized collection like this one makes a great wall art piece. And make sure the pieces are firmly fixed on the wall… This image from Furnish Burnish.

Easy Chic? Here’s a simple but effective DIY. This damask pattern gives a precious and antique look to the modern space. Make sure the colour of objects and cushions around the room ‘talk’ to the statement fabric.

And finally, decals. There are so many on the market that the only worry is choosing. Some can be a little pricey but are perfect if you’re renting, as they easily come off when needed. This image from Evergreen Orange.
