Free Tips Of Practical Design
Have you ever met a new acquaintance, a doctor, and found yourself asking their opinion on some health issue then and there? Or a travel agent, and ever so casually asked what's the secret to a free seat upgrade? Or an interior designer, to get a free consultation? Well, it happens to me all the time, arriving in a home for a social gathering, shaking hands and "Oooooohhhh, you're a designer right?" Here it comes, I think, "So, tell me," they continue,"what should I do with this room.. and what colour works best?."
It's funny, actually, and how I started in the industry anyway, as I'd usually tell what I thought of their home, before they'd even asked!
I never mind sharing Practical Tips, those quick tips every home can benefit from, and I've filmed some of these, sharing them weekly and making them available for all to watch on my social pages and YouTube Channel. Go have a look, and let me know what you think. My clients always comment on how very practical I am, with my explanations and tips making lots of sense! And I always offer solutions for those items they need, before we get to all the pretty stuff they want.
Experts in Interiors know too well, that there is much more to my job than simply choosing two colours that match, or going gaga for that amazing kitchen tap (which I sadly do as well!) Interior Design has definitely become a popular subject of conversation, and I'm also thankful to the many renovation shows available on TV, as they have greatly contributed to everybody's wider taste in decor and design. What we haven't learned yet, though, is that renovations don't happen overnight, bathrooms can't be installed in 3 days, and good design doesn't just happen in five minutes.
So, if you're into home improvement, home renovation or homes in general, follow my pages for free and practical information. And next time we meet for dinner don't be shy, and ask me for an opinion, it's OK!! but don't be surprised when I'll ask you back "Have you watched my Practical Design Tips videos?"
