The Ingredients of "Umina Springs"

 

And here it is, Designer James' main ingredients for his own home's renovation. A taste for Mid-Century Modern architecture and a twist of Australian Coastal helped James to transform a solid but ugly red-brick home into the beautiful Palms Springs inspired home everyone is talking about..

Adding the Deck

 

An important part of this home renovation was to create a better connection between the inside and the outside and creating a new deck area was an obvious solution. The flooring product to be used though had to be easy to maintain and practical to use...

That Mid-Century Modern Feel

 

As the renovation proceeds and the house changes its looks James needs the furniture and decor to also suit with the Mid-Century Modern look he's inspiring to. Armed with samples of floors, curtains and wall colour he visit the showroom where Nicole will help him to see through Life Interiors vast range of furniture and decor.

Furnishing the Outdoors

 

The alfresco and deck areas of this home extend respecitvely the dining and cooking area one and the living area the other. To furnish these spaces required quality pieces that are durable, easy to enjoy and of course truly beautiful. James visits the Kave Home Showroom in Alexandria, NSW...
