Comfort & Good Looks

In today's visually driven world, where every scroll through social media feeds inundates us with perfectly curated spaces and stunning furniture designs, it's easy to fall into the trap of prioritising aesthetics over comfort. As an interior designer passionate about creating spaces that not only look beautiful but also are inviting and comfortable, I always strive on striking the perfect balance between style and practicality.

Our tastes and preferences are heavily influenced by the images we see daily on platforms like Instagram and Pinterest. We're drawn to sleek lines, stylish accents, and eye-catching colour palettes showcased in meticulously styled interiors. But amidst the allure of picture-perfect spaces, it's essential to remember that beauty alone doesn't guarantee comfort.

Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting the Kave Home showroom, where I embarked on a mission to find the perfect outdoor chairs and table for the alfresco of my own home. With a plethora of options available, I took my time, trying out each chair that caught my eye. It was a delightful experience, akin to a kid in a candy store. After much 'sitting around' I finally settled on a model that to me not only looked stunning but also provided the comfort and support needed for long conversations around the dining table.

Paired with that beautiful extendable table, those yellow chairs have become a focal point in my home, garnering compliments from every guest who has had the pleasure of sitting on them. It's a testament to the idea that furniture should not only be aesthetically pleasing but also practical and comfortable.

So, if you're in the market for outdoor furniture that marries style with comfort, here is a treble of practical tips to keep in mind:

  1. Consider Materials: Opt for weather-resistant materials for outdoor tables and chairs. Not only are they should be durable, but also require minimal maintenance, ensuring your furniture looks good for years to come.

  2. Test for Comfort: Just like my experience at the Kave Home showroom, don't hesitate to try out different chairs to find the one that's good for you. Sit, recline, and imagine yourself spending hours lounging in them. Comfort should be a top priority, especially for furniture meant for relaxation and entertaining.

  3. Think about Space: Before buying that attractive dining table or lounge set, consider the dimensions of your outdoor space. Opt for furniture that fits well and allows for easy movement around the area.

Kave Home has a vaste range of interior and exterior furniture available online as well as in showroom.

The chairs I have selected for the alfresco of my home are Surpik Yellow and the extendable table is Zaltana in white aluminium. Have you seen what else I have selected from their range for my own home?

Remember, when it comes to furniture, indoor or outdoor, beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder, but comfort is universally appreciated. So, why not indulge in pieces that not only catch the eye but also provide a cozy retreat for you and your loved ones to enjoy? After all, life's too short to spend it on uncomfortable chairs :)
