During the renovation process, I also found myself diving into the world of furniture and accessories for the house. Naturally, I aimed for a space that not only looked stunning and inviting but was also practical. And when it comes to bedrooms, let's not underestimate the power of a quality mattress.
Sure, mattresses are usually hidden under layers of Manchester, cushions and throws - who sees them? But when bedtime comes around, it's the mattress that steals the show. So, off I went to BedShed in Tuggerah (NSW), and let me tell you, it was like a mattress wonderland. Jacqui, the mattress guru, guided me through the different technologies, turning my mattress hunt into a fun adventure. Check out the video below to see what I've learnt.
For the kids' room, the Sealy Posturepedic singles were spot-on. But when it came to the queen-sized beds in the guest and master bedrooms, I went all in with the Tempur mattresses. Why? Because when I got on one I didn't want to get up:) These mattresses are crafted from NASA technology, offering super comfy, pressure-relieving material that caters to all body types. Sleeping on one of these Tempur wonders is an experience beyond words.
The master suite's bed-frame and side tables, also from BedShed Tuggerah, are a perfect match for the oak timbers on the floor. Its contemporary design suits the Palm Springs feel that I was aiming for, and the rattan finish on the bedhead complements the bedside tables. Oh, and let's not forget about the bed height issue – because this too is an art form. Imagine a bed so high you cannot climb or so low it's hard to get up from... Trust me, I did the math, factoring in the mattress thickness to ensure a comfortable mount and dismount.
I'm genuinely thrilled I went to BedShed Tuggerah. Jaqui and the team showered me with invaluable insights, making my necessary decisions about bedrooms easy. Who knew mattress shopping could be this delightful? 👍 Kudos to the experts for my very successful mattress' selections.
